If the attitude of the leaders largely corresponds to the existing corporate culture, it is seen as a "Cultural Fit". Only then an executive feels at home in a company and is committed and motivated to its tasks and only then the company feels loyal and future oriented with its leaders and their performance.
It is in no way contradictory when person and organization complement each other. It's worth it to have features that are not available on the other side, but which are absolutely needed for the corporate strategy.
